Hi All. Every time I start a VM from the Stopped (Deallocated) state it seems to configure a new Microsoft Hyper-V Network Adapter. I recently had a problem where I couldn't access a file share on another server in the same domain / virtual network and it turned out to be due to having 148 orphaned Microsoft Hyper-V Network Adapters (see my blog post here).
Virtual machines lose network connectivity when you use Broadcom NetXtreme 1-gigabit network adapters. When you have Hyper-V running on Microsoft Windows Server 2012 or Windows Server 2012 R2 together with Broadcom NetXtreme 1-gigabit network adapters (but not NetXtreme II network adapters), you may notice one or more of the following Looking at my network connections in Windows 8.1, I see two connections.
